Battling a stomach virus and coming back after crashing his No. 12 Verizon Team Penske Chevrolet in the first practice session March 11 for the Verizon IndyCar Series season opener, Power persevered in a big way today. It also gives Power 43 career poles, fifth most in Indy car history.
